We are a three-women team committed to a daily better health for all.
Mrs. Aruna Wankhede aged 61 years is a homemaker and an entrepreneur now. Mrs. Kirti Salunkhe is an IT Engineering graduate and was working in the IT industry. Mrs. Punam Patil is a Computer engineer and was a working IT professional.
Our mission of ‘Good health for all’ was largely influenced by the senior most member of our team, Mrs. Aruna Wankhede. A village trip with Mrs. Aruna changed the course of our lives. Here we got introduced to the process of extracting cooking and other oils through an age old and natural process; which is commonly referred to as the ‘Ghani oil’. With a simple mortar and pestle made of wood; the peanuts, seeds or coconut is crushed to extract oil. As no additives are involved, the natural flavor and goodness of the groundnuts, seeds or coconut remain intact in the oil extracted.

We decided to do a study on the cooking oils and after doing a detailed project on the popular cooking oils, we were astonished to know that the most widely used refined oils are harmful for our health, although it looks and smells better than the pure oil extracted by natural process!
Studying the health benefits of the natural cooking oils gave us a mission. We decided to spread the goodness and make a positive difference to the health of people by replacing the harmful refined cooking oil with naturally extracted cooking oil. We thus left our IT jobs and teamed up with Mrs. Aruna Wankhede to form ‘Green Habits’.
